Berrettini is the first Italian to reach the Wimbledon singles final

Matteo Berrettini was Italyâ s first to finish with a four set triumph against Hubert Hurkacz at the Wimbledon single finale on Friday.

In his quarter-final match, Berrettino claimed 6-3, 6-0, 6-7 (3/7) and 6-4 victory over his eight-time Polish rival, Roger Federer.

Nineth in the World, Berrettin is facing the Grand Slam Championship of Italy since Adriano Panatta at the 1976 French Open, either with Novak Djokovič or Denis Shapovalov at Sunday’s final.

“This is my teenage career’s biggest day to yet. We’re going to see Sunday, “He said. He said.

“I’m glad that I’ve only brought the flag here.”

The twenty-five year-old Italian won the renowned championship in 1985 by Boris Becker, then a few weeks after in Wimbledon.
