Spotify has expanded beyond music streaming to include podcasts, coming in second place in the podcast battle. Spotify podcasts have amassed a sizable following in just a few years. Podcasts are now more popular than ever, as people’s lives have ground to a halt as a result of the pandemic, forcing them to rely on apps like Spotify. Here are some Spotify podcast recommendations that we think you’ll enjoy.

Joe Rogan’s Adventures

Starting with the most famous podcast, the JRE podcast, which has episode ratings ranging from 9.7 to 9.8 on a scale of 10 and an overall rating of 8.8/10 on IMDb, is one of the most widely heard podcasts on any platform.

Joe Rogan, an American comedian and UFC commentator, hosted the show until 2013, when he was replaced by Jamie Vernon as co-host and producer.

Joe Rogan is one of the earliest podcasters, having launched in 2019. He hosts chats with a diverse range of guests, including fellow comedians such as Russell Peters, authors, various types of musicians, and public personalities such as Elon Musk and Mike Tyson.

The podcast is only available on Spotify as of December 2020. The fact that the podcast is supported by adverts is just the top of the iceberg, drawing unsubscribed Spotify customers and podcast fans in.

Stuff You Should Know

Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant created the podcast in 2008, and it is one of the most popular on Spotify and other platforms. With almost 1400 episodes, the podcast covers a wide range of topics, including narcolepsy, drugs and hallucinogens, inflation and its causes, global issues such as global warming, chaos theory, and divisive topics such as Satanism and cannibalism.

The hosts also delve into behavioral issues and investigate how psychopaths operate. The best part about starting this podcast, given its 1400+ episodes, is that each episode is self-contained, allowing listeners to begin at any point in the series.

Naval Ravikant Podcast

Naval Ravikant is the co-founder and former CEO of AngleList, an entrepreneur of Indian heritage. Naval had to seek refuge in local public libraries as a child growing up in a hazardous neighborhood with firsthand gun violence, where he developed a fundamental bond with books of all kinds that helped him attain outstanding clarity on a variety of themes. His podcast is aimed at other young entrepreneurs that share his interests.

In his radio show, he discusses career, cryptocurrencies, managing finances and businesses, pursuing wealth, while also addressing crucial mental health topics such as anxiety reduction and talking about life and happiness.

Naval’s tweetstorm on “How to Get Rich(without Getting Lucky)” catapulted him into the spotlight, making his podcast one of the most popular with a massive following.

Simple Ken

Kenny Sebastian is the host of Simple Ken. Kenny is an Indian stand-up comedian who rose to prominence after playing a key role in revolutionizing the Indian stand-up scene. With 28 episodes under his belt, his podcast is barely a year old.

Kenny joins other modern comedians as guests and discusses some exciting, out-of-the-ordinary topics such as poisonous positivity, the new normal, inspiration, and friendship, as well as how to deal with negativity.

The podcast is refreshing and appealing for newer podcast audiences, reflecting the comedian’s unique brand of comedy. On YouTube and Spotify, you may listen to Simple Ken.

In the Dark

This podcast is for you if you are enthralled by crime-related mysteries. Investigative journalism and crime are the genres of the show, which is narrated by Madeleine Baran. The show is set up to look into real-life situations and examine the criminal justice system.

In the Dark is a weekly show with two seasons: the first season, which consists of ten episodes, examines the infamous case of the kidnapping and murder of 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling, which lasted 27 years, and the second season, which consists of six episodes, investigates the case of Mississippi hailing Curtis Flowers, who was tried six times for the same quadruple homicide in 1996 and spent more than 20 years trying to win the case.
