Google will now warn users when search results are quickly changing around a breaking issue. Some searches will now include a warning that “it looks that these results are changing fast,” as well as a subheading that “if this topic is new, it may take time for trustworthy sources to contribute results.”
When an issue is rapidly changing and a diversity of sources hasn’t yet weighed in, the warning is presently displayed on English-language results from the United States. Google plans to expand the tool’s availability to additional locations in the coming months.
