Dr Shamsul Haque, line director (MNC&H) of the health directorate, stated today that the national mass inoculation campaign will start tomorrow with Sinopharm vaccines at all district hospitals and 40 centers in Dhaka city.

Those who had previously registered but were unable to get vaccinated owing to a scarcity of vaccinations, as well as medical and university students, would receive immunizations through registration.

Meanwhile, the Pfizer vaccination will be given out at seven locations around Dhaka. Pfizer vaccines will only be given to outbound migrant workers who are on the Manpower Export Promotion Bureau’s list.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Salimullah Medical College Hospital, Mugda Medical College Hospital, Shaheed Shuhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Kurmitola General Hospital, and Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital are among the vaccination centers for migrant workers.

Students will be able to sign up for vaccinations using the University Grants Commission’s list.

“Without registration and confirmation through SMS, no one will receive the vaccination. Online registration is now open again “Dr. Shamsul said.

Vaccine patients will be out of the scope of the lockdown while receiving vaccinations, he noted.
