The Prime Minister greeted countrymen and expatriate Bangladeshis in a video message broadcast by Bangladesh Television and other media on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
She urged everyone to follow the health protocols in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Sheikh Hasina expressed her condolences for the fatalities caused by the deadly virus, saying that Covid-19 had taken the lives of many of her loved ones.
The Prime Minister urged everyone to strive for the sake of the country and its people, citing the sacrifice as the core of Eid-ul-Azha.
She wrapped up by adding, “Everyone stay healthy, safe, and happy. Happy Eid Mubarak!”
